Most perfumes on the market these days are gone and forgotten before you can say au revoir. But, there are a few classics that have stood the test of time -- and for good reason: they're as drop-dead gorgeous now as they were when they were introduced (I'm completely smitten with these for spring and summer!).

SMELL GOOD + DO GOOD: Perfume Sale to Raise Money for the Victims of the Oklahoma Tornado

In his address to the victims of the recent tornado in Oklahoma, President Obama stated: "There are empty spaces where there used to be living rooms, and bedrooms, and classrooms, and, in time, we’re going to need to refill those spaces with love and laughter and community."

Since the devastation, I’ve been racking my brain in an effort to figure out a way I (and you) can contribute to the relief efforts for the tornado victims, and I’ve decided that I will do what I do best: use fragrance as a way to make other people’s lives better.

The good news is: there will a spectacular lineup up of swoon-worthy scents for brides-to-be (and their moms, gal pals, guy pals, fiancées, and sisters) to sniff and sample.

WHAT'S COMING OUT OF THE OLFACTORY?

The smell was so putrid, so eye-burningly awful that sometimes I thought I might actually suffocate.

I used to live next to a chemical refinery (I was a poor grad student, and it was a good deal). Once a month, billows of horrible, acrid smoke would waft from the factory towers. I have no idea what was coming out of there. All I know is that it STANK.
